Andrew Lincoln has revealed that he was scared witless by the gritty authenticity of the making of The Walking Dead.

"I had real goose-bumps in every scene. Frank Darabont demanded gritty authenticity at all times, and some of the cast's screams were 100% real."

Andrew went on to say that Frank Darabont even withheld details of some scenes from the cast so that their reactions would be ones of genuine fear.

"It was heart-stopping. I can promise you the initial reactions on our faces are pure terror."
